Shot Peening Achievement Exam Program

The Shot Peening Achievement Exam Program is presented by Electronics Incorporated (EI) Education Division to introduce shot peening fundamentals and recognize individual professional development. An Achievement Certificate is awarded to those individuals who attend the Shot Peening Workshop and demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of shot peening by completing and passing the examination held in conjunction with a shot peening workshop or on-site training session.

Note: Companies requiring their employees to demonstrate shop practice competence or obtain shot peening certification are encouraged to participate in the EI Education Division On-Site Training program.

The Benefits to You and Your Company

  • Career Advancement - The exam certificate lets your employer and the industry know that you have demonstrated a comprehension of a specified body of knowledge. You will be promoting your skills to the industry and general public while developing your professional pride.
  • Increased Proficiencies - For each individual, the exams will contain some familiar areas or aspects of shot peening. However, the exams are broad based and cover 6 - 7 different areas of shot peening. By attending the Workshop and studying for the exams, you will be introduced to new or less familiar areas of shot peening. This will increase your understanding of the entire technology.
  • Achieve Recognition - When you complete and pass your examination, you will be recognized with an official certificate.  Courses are also applicable toward the FAA's AMT Award Program.  Through the AMT Awards Program, the FAA recognizes eligible technicians and employers by issuing awards to those who receive or promote and foster initial and recurrent training.

The Benefits to the Industry

  • Promotion of High Professional Standards - The Shot Peening Achievement Certificate identifies a higher level of shot peening performance and elevates professional standards.
  • Increased Credibility to the Organization - prospective customers will see the designation among your employees spotlighting your company's commitment to educational development.
  • Growth of Qualified Personnel - Certification will promote the growth of more qualified personnel in the industry.
