FAA-Approved Inspector Training

Jack Champaigne and Pete Bailey of Electronics Inc. launched their unique on-site training program for the FAA in 2001—it's the first program of its kind and was developed especially for the FAA's IA (Inspection Authorization Refresher Training) Program. According to Mr. Champaigne, "We are very pleased to have formed this alliance with the FAA. It elevates shot peening training to the level of attention and importance it deserves in the aerospace industry."

EI training is recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as meeting training requirements for FAA employees who audit shot peening processes. EI training programs, including the annual Shot Peening / Blast Cleaning Workshops and a specialized two-day on-site program of classroom instruction and shop proficiency demonstrations developed specifically for FAA inspectors, are approved by the FAA. Attendees that pass the review and competency test at the end of the program will receive credit toward their yearly FAA training requirement. The following EI training programs meet with FAA approval:
