Partners in Education
PRESS RELEASE March 5th, 2008: Electronics Incorporated has been selected by PRI (Performance Review Institute), the SAE organization that conducts Nadcap audits, to be a Partner in Education.
The agreement solidifies a long and successful relationship between the two organizations that began when the EI staff trained Nadcap/PRI auditors in shot peening processes. Future outcomes of the relationship will be the hosting of educational seminars and audit preparation training for Nadcap suppliers, the sharing of Nadcap information in EI's Shot Peener magazine, and ongoing training and workshops for PRI staff.
Electronics Inc. brings a unique element to the relationship that will be a tremendous advantage to suppliers. Because of EI's committee work with SAE, EI has a vast understanding of the history and evolution of specifications and how the interpretation of specs affect supplier audits. EI will be an advocate of the Nadcap Subgroup process that allows suppliers to participate in consensus-based decisions regarding specific audit criteria.
Jack Champaigne, President of Electronics Inc. and its Educational Divsion, will address "Aerospace Shot Peening Practices and Nadcap Audits" in his keynote address at ICSP10 in Japan this fall. "EI has been fortunate to have PRI participate in many of their past workshops and looks forward to many more opportunities to create awareness and compliance to the 'best of shot the best' peening practices," said Mr. Champaigne.
