How to select MagnaValves® for Airblast Applications

It's as easy as 1-2-3

Step 1. Determine the shot flow rate.

MagnaValves for air blast applications are selected based upon flow rate and shot size. A reference table of nozzle performance as a function of shot size, air pressure and desired Almen intensity is available to assist your selecion. For additional assistance call the factory.

Step 2. Select the MagnaValve from this maximum flow capacity table

Maximum flow capacity in pounds or (Kg) per minute (consult factory or other media types)
Note: these values are absolute maximums and will usually be higher than the final calibration of the MagnaValve. See Step 3 below.

Step 3. Select valve calibration and scale factor for FC-24 Control from this table

Note: be sure to specify desired full-scale calibration including pounds or Kg scale
MagnaValves are factory scaled to give 5.00 Vdc output at rated calibration in pounds/minute.
The MagnaValve output voltage for Kg/minute is 4.54 Vdc. Adjustments are made at the FC controller. Please do not re-adjust the MagnaValve span without contacting factory for advice.
