The zero datum and the measurement position are on the same side so you no longer need to flip the calibration block over from one side to the other.

| Curved Check Block |
| A special gage block with a compound curvature is available
that represents an ideal Almen strip with approximately 0.024" curvature. This block should be used weekly by the customer as a "function check" of the gage. The flat side of the block is used to set the "zero" datum reference of the gage prior to measuring strips. It is certified flat to 20 micro-inches (about 2-light bands). |
